Red Radish Salad

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Red Radish Salad with a creamy yogurt and poppy seed dressing makes a delicious, tangy and crisp salad that you can pair with any meal. I can eat this all year round!

Do you love Turkish kebabs? This radish salad is an mezze type of salad. So serve it as a side dish for your kebabs!

Greek yogurt and lemon juice give the salad a nice tang. You can use as much dressing as you like. I love to add extra when eating it. This is a super easy and quick kind of a salad with 6 simple ingredients.

Chop or slice the red radish as you desire and make the dressing by combining Greek yogurt, lemon, poppy seeds, fresh dill and salt. Toss the chopped radish and serve it in a large bowl. We love this as much as our ultimate winter salad, yogurt coleslaw without mayo.

There is a saying in Turkish. You say “I am as strong as a radish” (turp gibiyim) which means you don’t have any health problems. I don’t know why this cute vegetable is chosen for this idiom, maybe it is because of its hard texture, which is not easy to mash when raw. Maybe it’s because it has several health benefits.

Red radish always reminds me of winter, it is like the symbol of this season. And we love to eat it raw as a side dish. Even we have a green salad on the table, sliced radish often accompanies. Sometimes when we don’t have enough time to prepare a big salad with many ingredients, just a simple radish salad accompanies our dinner. These pink beauties will make your dinner healthier and tastier, so try it! You can make this  salad with whatever type of radish you have on hand.

The salad looks delicious, but I wondered if you could tell me approximately how many cups 3 radishes yields.

1 and 1/2 cups if they are large. I need to adjust it in the recipe card. Thanks for asking this question.
