Almond Milk Hot Chocolate

Vegan hot chocolate made with almond milk and sweetened with maple syrup.
Yields: 2 servings

INGREDIENTS
  

Hot Chocolate:

  • 2 cups almond milk
  • tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • tablespoons maple syrup

Topping:

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon shredded coconut flakes

INSTRUCTIONS
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Whisk until smooth.
  • Put it over medium high heat and bring it to boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce the heat and let it simmer for a few minutes until foamy.
  • Share it in cups and top with coconut oil and coconut flakes.
