Olive Oil Banana Bread Recipe with Yogurt

Moist chocolate chip banana bread packed with chocolate chips and tastes like banana.

INGREDIENTS
  

  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • cup olive oil
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • ¾ cup mashed banana 2 ripe
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¾ cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon extra chocolate chips for topping

INSTRUCTIONS
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Butter a 9 x 5 loaf pan and line it with parchment paper. Butter the bottom of the paper too to remove it easier.
  • Whisk together the sugar and egg until creamy. Add in oil and plain yogurt and mix well.
  • Mash the bananas with a fork and add it into the mixture.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Pour this gradually into the wet mixture.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and pour it into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on the top and bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread rest 10-15 minutes before removing.
