Baked Apple Slices Recipe

Baked apple slices flavored with cinnamon, almonds and orange juice. Taste almost like an apple pie.

PREP 5 minutes
COOK 1 hour 5 minutes
TOTAL 1 hour 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS
  

  • 4-5 apples
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 and ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • A handful of almonds
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • cup water

INSTRUCTIONS
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Peel and core apples and slice them lengthwise as evenly as possible. Don’t maket hem too thin.
  • Put them in a baking pan. Top with brown sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch and roughly chopped almonds.
  • Pour orange juice and water over them. Toss to combine and cover with foil.
  • Bake for 50 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes or until fork tender.
  • Serve warm with cream or vanilla ice cream.
