Air Fryer Artichokes

Ingredients

- Fresh artichokes - Lemon - Olive oil - Salt - Black pepper

Trim off the stem so the artichoke can sit flat. Remove any tough, small leaves at the base.  Slice the top 1 inch off the artichoke.

Cut each artichoke in half lengthwise and rub the cut sides with one of the lemon halves.

Use a spoon to carefully remove the fuzzy choke from the center of each artichoke half. Be sure to remove all of the inedible parts, leaving just the tender heart.

Rub the cut sides of the artichoke halves with lemon to prevent browning. Season them with salt and pepper to taste, then brush them with olive oil, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. Place the seasoned artichoke halves, cut-side down, in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Cook for 12 minutes, turn them over and cook for another 5 minutes or until the artichokes are tender and the leaves are easily removed.

Carefully remove the artichokes from the air fryer and serve them warm. Squeeze the remaining half of the lemon over the artichokes. You can serve them with a dipping sauce.
