Bananas I used in this simple green smoothie were so sweet, so I didn’t need to add any other sweetener. But I use honey when they are not ripe and sweet enough. Taste the smoothie and decide yourself if it needs any sweetener or not.
My last secret ingredient in this smoothie is fresh ginger. It helps the immune system and this is what everyone needs in winter.
You can have this smoothie either in the morning or as a snack during day. Just make sure you keep it in the fridge.

Simple Green Smoothie
Detox green smoothie loaded with vitamins. Perfect way to start the day!
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 5 minutes
- Yield: 2 1x
- 1/2 avocado
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup mandarin juice, freshly sqeezed
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 and 1/2 cups spinach
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- Put all ingredients in a food processor and puree until smooth.
- Chill it for about 15 minutes or more if you have time and share into glasses.
