You didn’t think I would end the summer only with one ice cream recipe, did you? After finding sweetened condensed milk for the first time here and using it to make No-Churn Peach Ice Cream, I knew I would be trying several more ice cream recipes. I love that you don’t need an ice cream machine in these recipes. As cherries are abundant at the markets these days, they make a great option to try a new ice cream recipe.
You might have heard the news about Turkey. We are having really bad days in my country. There was a coup attempt about a week ago and you can imagine how everything is in a mess. That night was like a big war all around the country between the citizens and the soldiers who were attempting coup.Lots of people died and thousands of state employees have been detained and it looks like the number will continue to increase. Although everything seems normal in everyday life outside, there is a very big chaos in almost all units of the country.
We are really sorry and worried about the future of our country, it’s hard to sleep these days. I really didn’t feel like cooking or blogging but then my son helped me with his very simple request: “Mommy, can you make ice cream for me?” He is only 3 and unaware of all these of course. He shows me that life must go on and the only way to overcome these stressful days is to keep working on what you know best. That’s how I’ve decided to come back with this no-churn fresh cherry ice cream.
I was planning to roast the cherries before adding them into the ice cream but our little gourmet was very impatient, so I decided to put them raw. I only pitted the cherries and chopped them roughly.
So if you want to surprise your kids on these boiling days, you need to try this super easy no-churn fresh cherry ice cream.
