Green Tea Strawberry Sangria will be the new hit at your weekend parties. The green tea twist adds an extra refreshment to the simple strawberry sangria. This is one of the coolest drink that you can prepare in some minutes.
If you are looking for something special with a new twist to serve at your summer parties, you should try this green tea strawberry sangria. People around me think that this is the best way to drink green tea. Well, I do love green tea on its own but this special cocktail could be a good start for those who don’t even want to give it a chance. It is so tasty and refreshing. Plus very easy to make.
This healthy white sangria recipe is way easier than so many complicated sangria recipes around the web. You just mix things up and need some time to chill it before serving. If the wine is already in your refrigerator, then it’s ready just in about 10 minutes.
There is no simple syrup in this cocktail, so it is a low calorie white sangria. It is replaced by a cup of green tea. Steep 1 teaspoon of matcha green tea powder in a cup of hot water for 1-2 minutes. Add in some sugar, cool it and then strain into the pitcher.
The green tea flavor is not very noticable, so don’t worry if you don’t like it. It is there just to give your cocktail a healthy twist. You may not realize the taste, but it definitely gives extra refreshment, which we all need these days.
You can definitely prepare a kid friendly version of this green tea strawberry sangria by replacing wine with a wonderful Homemade Lemonade and omitting the lequeur. I’m sure they’ll love it even more if you add a little splash of sparkling mineral water. Or you can make Strawberry Green Tea Popsicles to surprise them if you have time.
