My friends always complain that I call all my recipes easy, they say that it may not be that easy for them. Well, they might be right only if they are not into cooking or baking at all. Anyway, this Very Easy Banana Ice Cream recipe is even for those friends. I’m absolutely sure that they will agree with me this time. It is so easy that even kids can make it. You just need one main ingredient for this ice cream and an optional ingredient for garnish.

So how is this magic two-ingredient ice cream made? You’re right, with banana. Did you know that banana can make ice cream on its own? You just need to follow the right steps to have a perfectly rich ice cream as a result. No additional milk, heavy cream or egg yolks! Forget about all these high-calorie ingredients. I know these make you think that ice cream making is a tough job, so you don’t need any of these for this creamy banana ice cream. Banana ice cream is another great way to use up over ripe bananas just like banana bread.

This banana ice cream doesn’t have any sweeteners, the sweetness comes from the fruit itself. Make sure you need to use ripe bananas to have the perfect result, otherwise you will end up with a tasteless ice cream. If your bananas are not sweet enough, use a little honey

What you need to do is just freezing the banana slices, then pureeing them and finally freezing the puree again to ice cream. You see, you don’t need any advanced culinary skills to make the world’s easiest ice cream.

Be careful in the pureeing process because your food processor may not work if you put all frozen banana slices at a time, puree them in batches and you will see something like an ice cream custard in the end.

I used this basic One Ingredient Banana Ice Cream with an addition. The second ingredient I use is chocolate sprinkles. Just for having a nice structure in my ice cream. You can leave it out or replace with chocolate chips or peanut butter or nutella, you name.

If you have over-ripe bananas in your kitchen now, freeze them right now and try this frozen-banana ice cream. I’m sure you will be making it quite often this summer because it’s just so easy and with no high calories.
