Blueberry Lemonade is a perfect summer treat to satisfy your sweet tooth. Very cold, refreshing and with a fantastic natural color. Although we are closing up the month June, the weather here is not as hot as expected. It’s been mostly cloudy and rainy, which doesn’t make most people crave for cold treats. Well, we don’t care the temperature when it comes to lemonade, so we sometimes make it even in winter. The flavor makes us feel renewed and there can’t be a particular season for the renewal. Anyway, if you have similar feelings about lemonade, you need to try it with blueberries.
Blueberry Lemonade is one of our favorite lemonade recipes. Well, you can combine lemonade with anything you like, it’s such an amazing drink that almost everything makes a wonderful combination with it. We’ve tried Strawberry Lemonade and Cucumber Lemonade before and loved them too. Go check them out if you are open to different flavors in lemonade.
My Best Lemonade Recipe is a basic and the most loved one in the family, but needs some time as I use hot water and you need to wait until it cools down. Sometimes I don’t have that much time and I just go with the quickest steps as I do in this blueberry lemonade recipe. This is a super easy and quick lemonade with only 4 ingredients. It is not too sweet or too tart, just perfectly balanced.
I really can’t understand why people buy bottled lemonade from stores when it is ridiculously easy to make it at home. There are several ingredients in those overly sweet store bought lemonades that make them taste like cough syrup. When you discover how easy and fun to make your own lemonade, I’m sure you’ll never buy it again. You can always create your own variations with your favorite fruit. And you can never go wrong with it because you can always add more sugar or lemon juice to make it the best for your taste.
In this blueberry lemonade, I don’t blend the berries in this blueberry lemonade as I love to see that color change in my glass. I prepare a simple lemonade, share it into glasses and then toss in a handful of frozen blueberries. The lovely color of the berries spreads in the lemonade amazingly and I feel like I’m making a chemical experiment. If you don’t want to turn your kitchen into a chemistry lab, just blend everything together.
Normally, I love to serve lemonade with lots of ice, but it’s really not that hot here, so I served this one without ice. I chilled it for 2 hours before serving though.Print
