Turkish Ezme

A tangy, spicy Turkish dip. Easy to make, perfect with kebabs!

Ezme is a traditional Turkish meze. It is fresh, spicy and tangy.  Served as an appetizer or sauce on the side of kebabs.

Let’s get started!

Ingredients

- tomatoes - onion - garlıc - green pepper - red chili pepper - parsley - spices - tomato and pepper paste - lemon juice - pomegranate molasses - olive oil

Prepare the vegetables

Chop tomatoes, onion, green pepper, and chili pepper into chunks. Grate 2 cloves of garlic. Roughly chop the parsley.

Blend Everything

Put the vegetables, tomato paste, pepper paste, pomegranate molasses, olive oil and spices in a food processor. Pulse for 15 seconds.

Taste and Adjust It

Taste and adjust the seasonings to your preference. You can increase the amount of spices, lemon juice or pomegranate molasses if needed.

Serve

Transfer the ezme dip onto a plate, drizzle extra virgin olive oil over it, and serve. Pair it with kebabs, grilled chiken or meat or serve as an appetizer.
