It’s really hard for me to write a post these days because we had one of the most tragic events in the history of our country three days ago. We lost more than 280 people in one of the biggest coal mines of the country. It is said that there was a fire in the mine, but the causes are still being investigated. The worst is there are still miners, most probably and unfortunately passed away, under the ground and the rescuers are trying to reach them desperately. Lots of experts say that it doesn’t look like a natural disaster, but a consequence of negligence. Hope the responsible ones of this deadly mine disaster get the punishment they deserve. Our prayers and thoughts are always with them and their families.
I couldn’t easily decide if I should continue talking about food and sharing recipes when I have worries about the mine workers and their families, but I thought this is a food blog with many loyal readers, so I decided to share the recipe for this One Bowl Cheese Bread.
This is a quick and easy-peasy one bowl cheese bread that you can have at breakfast or pair with soup. You will find your regular plain bread boring once you taste this one. We already love Zucchini and Tomato Focaccia and my Easter Bread, and this cheese bread has already taken its place in the list of our favorites.
Making this cheese bread is so much like making a simple cake. You just combine everything in a bowl and then bake. It doesn’t contain yeast, so you don’t have to wait. You don’t need to knead either.
I used a mixture of feta, curd and kasar in this bread, but you can combine your favorite cheeses as well.

A very quick and easy bread with cheese and yogurt.

- 3 eggs, at room temperature
- 4 cups plain yogurt, at room temperature
- 1 and ¾ cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 and ½ cup mixture of your favorite cheese, crumbled or grated
- Grease 30cmx17cm baking pan and put aside.
- Preheat oven to 200C.
- Beat eggs well until creamy.
- Add in the rest of the ingredients one by one, mixing each of them well.
- Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake it for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
- Cut it into squares and serve.
