How do you overcome stress? I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed and stressed for a few days. I have a lot of work to do at school and home, but I don’t feel like doing any of them –maybe because of changing weather. I’m afraid I’m becoming a procrastinator and realizing this makes me feel even worse! I had a terrible experience today as a result of my new mood. Although I had a lot to do (paper works, students homework, house chores, etc) and little time, I decided to make a tasty dinner when I came home from school. There are obviously hundreds of easy and tasty dishes out there, but I prefered to make something requiring time and effort: Stuffed cabbage rolls! It all started last night when I stumbled a picture of a tempting cabbage rolls on the Internet. I decided to make it soon and passed that page. I really didn’t know that it would happen that soon! So I found myself buying a head of cabbage from the market. I must have been mesmerized or something! Why didn’t I delay this too?
Finally, I prepared wonderful looking rolls spending about 1 ½ hour and put it on the stove, let it cook. Guess what? I forgot it over heat and it all burned up! And I absolutely burst into tears! I couldn’t decide what to regret more, such complex feelings were wandering in my mind. How I wish I had cooked a simple pasta!
My dear husband knew what would relax me: A cup of jasmine tea. He knows how much I love the fragrance of jasmine flower and flavor of its tea. So he prepared it for me just before ordering pizza!
This tea definitely works for me to overcome stress or anger. It has such a relaxing effect, so I hope the real and better me will turn back tomorrow!

The best part of this tea is that it’s a piece of cake to make it.
- 2 cups water
- 2 tsp jasmine leaves (I don’t use teabags)
- Boil water in a teapot.
- Add jasmine leaves, wait for 3 minutes.
- Pour into cups straining it with a tea strainer.
- Serve hot.
