I love to start meal with soup especially in winter. That wouldn’t be wrong to say that my favorite course is soup. Luckily, we have hundreds of soup recipes in Turkish cuisine. Some of them could be considered as main course as they contain a lot of ingredients. Although there are several variations of lentil soup, green lentil soup is the one which is like a main course. The ingredients in green lentil soup are enough for you to get full, so I sometimes have just this soup as lunch or dinner.
Green lentil is a very healthy ingredient and I try to use it as much as I can in my cooking. This soup becomes a hit in our home in Winter. It is a perfect vegetarian dish as well.
