We’re back from a wonderful vacation! I’m going to share the photos as soon as I prepare them for the next post. This vacation absolutely made us feel much better and now we are ready for the new work year.

I’ll go on sharing desserts in some more posts including this one until I finish the photos of desserts I made before. So here is a yummy brownie with sour cherry jam.

Vişneli Browni

Ingredients
Cake
-    4 eggs
-    1 cup sugar
-    ½ cup milk
-    ½ cup sunflower oil
-    2 tbsp cocoa
-    2 tbsp nutella
-    1 ½ cup flour
-    1 tbsp baking powder
Sauce
-    2 cup milk
-    80g bitter chocolate, crumbled
-    1 cup castor sugar
-    ½ cup sour cherry jam

Preheat oven at 180C.

Whisk eggs and sugar until smooth. Add milk, oil, nutella and mix. Add flour and baking powder into this mixture and mix. Pour the batter into an oven tray or a cake mold and bake for 40 minutes.

Mix milk, castor sugar and crumbled bitter chocolate in a pan. Heat it and stir occasionally. Take it before it boils. Let it rest for some minutes until it loses heat and gets warm.

Take the cake from oven, cut it in squares and spread the chocolate mixture on it. Then spread sour cherry jam on it. Wait it in refrigerator for at least 2 hours and serve cold with grated coconut on the top.

These brownies look so thick and cake-like…exactly the way that I love them. And chocolate and cherries go together so very well. I’m glad you are safely home from your trip, and I look forward to many yummy food photos and recipes to come!

Jason- Nutella makes it more chocolaty and of course more scrumptious.

Monet- Yes, it was thick and moist. Perfect with coffee. I hope I can finish with the photos today.

Evan- You must try it now. Cherry jam is better than cherries in brownies.

pegasuslegend- Thank you! It was moist and it is refreshing too when cold.

Gera- Actually, we had these brownies months ago before the illness. But our break was still superb with several fresh and sweet fruits :)

It looks absolutely decadent. I love the thought of the sour cherry sauce with it. It would cut the sweetness perfectly. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe.

Canadian Foodie- I made it exactly in the same way with yellow cherry jam, which you can find under jam categories.

The Mom Chef- Sour cherry was perfect with chocolate and its juice made the cake more moist.

    Torviewtoronto- Thank you!

Natasha- Cherry jam made it cake like. Sour and sweet together was fantastic!

Cajun Chef Ryan- Thank you! Yes, nutella was the key ingredient here :) Made it scrumptious!

Wow, your version o a brownie sounds just delicious, it also looks a bit more cake like, nothing wrong with that, especially when you add nutella.

I love the paring with sour cherry jam, what a treat. I cannot wait to try it for myself. Happy new year of work and I hope this school year is off to a wonderful start.
