Blackberry is a wild fruit which is abundant in Turkey. You can find their bushes everywhere in countryside. However, it’s not consumed as much as other fruits grown in large fields. I’m sure people would eat more if they knew the benefits of blackberry.

It has a protective effect against esophagus cancer and colon cancer. Also, it stops tumor growth.

Blackberry is rich in vitamin C and it is protective against aging and decreases the symptoms.

It is a rich source of antioxidant, so it strengthens immune system.

It contains high amount of anthocyanin, which makes this fruit protective aginst diabetics and decreasing its symptoms.

Blackberry’s high content of pectin helps lowering cholesterol level.

It regulates blood pressure as it contains high amount of potassium.

It protects women against osteoporosis due to high amount of vitamin K it contains.

It is a low calorie fruit and people on diet can have it without worries.

It is rich in omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, so it fixes nerve system, strengthens memory and protects against depression.
