Beef Tenderloin Canapes

Who says red meat is not healthy? No health expert can persuade us, Turkish people to avoid red meat! We have a special love for red meat, and it’s almost impossible to stay away from all those scrumptious meat dishes in our cuisine including doner, kebab, kofte, roasted lamb or lamb skewers. Lamb always has a higher reputation than beef and it’s more expensive here. While some cultures may not be so familiar with lamb, it is as valuable as gold in our culture. We find its softness and juiciness so mouthwatering that even its smell is enough to tempt us! However, I don’t think beef deserves to be underrated that much, you can make very tasty dishes from beef too! If you want to impress your guests, I think it will be a good idea to use beef tenderloin. As it doesn’t have fat and bone, you can prepare various delicious dishes with it.

We used beef tenderloin to make canapes this time. We had some leftover tenderloin, so we just wanted to serve them this way as a starter before the main course. I thought these would also make perfect party food, so if you are planning to invite guests for an occasion, you can prepare these little festive canapes!
